Accurate and dependable mapping of alteration minerals is essential for many exploration projects. Using satellite images, PhotoSat’s proprietary processing methods enable exploration targeting through the clear and reliable identification of alteration minerals to detect deposit types including epithermal gold and silver, and porphyry copper.

TIMING

There is no standard or guaranteed timing for comprehensive PhotoSat alteration mineral mapping, as each project will have unique requirements. Exact timing can vary and is contingent on many factors such as cloud cover, snowpack, available archive data, and competition for access to the satellites.

COST

Alteration mineral mapping costs range widely due to a variety of factors. Accordingly, it’s unfeasible to provide a standard cost for services. Estimates are provided on a project-by-project basis. Estimates are provided in consultation with clients to determine your needs and the specifications of your property or region.

STANDARD DELIVERABLES

PhotoSat deliverables are provided in a clear, easy to understand format that identify areas of possible to probable alteration, allowing resource exploration companies to communicate findings to stakeholders. With reliable data identifying areas of probable alteration, targets for sampling or drilling exploration can be defined with confidence.

CAPABILITIES

PhotoSat has developed data processing technology that uses Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) bands produced by two satellites to map both larger scale regions and smaller areas. The ASTER satellite is ideal for larger regional alteration mapping of areas up to thousands of square kilometers. WorldView-3 provides unmatched spatial resolution and can reliably detect much smaller zones of alteration minerals than any previous commercially available satellite system.
