Pricing

Pricing is influenced by two main factors:

  1. Size of mapping area
  2. Type of satellite photo: new or archive

New vs. Archived Satellite Photos

New Photos

With new satellite photos, we can ensure that your maps include the most current data. Satellite collection normally takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. It can be delayed by factors such as persistent cloud cover.

Archived Photos

For some situations, it may be possible to use archived satellite photos for mapping projects. This lowers cost and skips the time required to collect new satellite photos. Archived photos can also be used to create a historical topographical record. In some cases, archived satellite photos are available going back as far as the 1960s.

Regional Mapping Package

These are pricing estimates for the Regional Mapping Package:

For 500 km² map
New photos $22,000 USD
Archived photos $20,000 USD

Mapping vs. Surveying

PhotoSat’s mapping products are equivalent to a Digital Surface Model (DSM), as ground features such as trees are not removed. In contrast, PhotoSat’s surveying products are equivalent to a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), since ground features are removed.

Our Regional Mapping Package is suitable for exploration planning.
